Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in the West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" area. This part of the island known as West Island can be confusing to those unfamiliar of its purpose. They often believe it's an island located west of Montreal however it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the cities of Lachine and West. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island. But it's not the case. Brugel was raised in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. She initially wanted to be an actor, however, after a rapid expansion, she and her partner could no longer dance with her. The article she wrote about her experience revealed published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall and wears heels. When I reached the height of all my male partners, I stopped. Brugel was one of many former dancers who turned into acting. Her high school teacher school was the one who pushed her to take the next step. It was the teacher who recommended she go after a role in the school's annual production. The audition was successful and she was chosen as Anne of Green Gables. The show led her to receive an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program which she graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. In the past 20 years, her work has been seen on both the large and small screen. She gained the most fame when she was offered the character of Rita in the acclaimed television series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was only seen on a few occasions in the first season of the series The Handmaid's tale. The only Canadian member.
